CONFIGURATIONS
The physical piece is modular, and the Meta adopts a specific configuration based on the piece it replaces.
A Meta has no movement of its own. It copies the movement abilities of direct neighboring pieces located on adjacent squares (1 square range), according to the directions allowed by its configuration.
Metas copy the movement and capture abilities of pieces, but not their status.
The King is the essence of the game and can never be replaced by a Meta.
A Meta copying a King can never be placed in check.
